Gallery shortcode is auto-generated when you create a new gallery. The shortcode accepts only 1 parameter, which is the Gallery Post ID. You can use the shortcode anywhere you want to display the gallery. Like in the page template, or if you're using Page Builder to design your pages, you can simply use the Gallery shortcode to add gallery to your page. The Gallery shortcode option is only available in the Gallery Post Type. If you're using Gutenberg Block, you don't need the Gallery shortcode as you'll be getting the live preview in the editor and the block output will use its own template. Screenshot below -
This is the place where you can manage the images being displayed in the gallery. You can re-order the images, edit individual image options like Image Title, Description and other options. The gallery images allows you to edit any image option on the go without even leaving the gallery or the edit screen. See screenshot below -
This option controls the layout being used for displaying the image in the popup. There are two types of popups - 1. Classic 2. Minimal The classic popup will display the image along with the title, description and the like and share buttons. This is useful when you want to display some information about the image in the popup. Like displaying the gallery of your project images, you might want to describe each project with some description, right? So, the classic layout is for you :)
Here's how the popup in Classic Layout looks -
The minimal layout popup displays the image with only the like and share button below the image. This is useful when do you don't have description text to display or just want to collect user reactions and let them share the image with their friends.
Here's how the popup with minimal layout looks -
Both the layouts share the same Sharing dialog and the share functionality. The share dialog will allow your users to share the image they like with their friends on Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, Twitter or via Email.
Here's how the share dialog looks -
This option sets the global title to be used to share with the link when someone clicks on the share dialog above and click on any link to share the content with their friends. You can also set the individual image sharing title by clicking the image in the gallery and then enter the title in the Mediagram Gallery options for the image in the image meta just below the description field.
The link being used for sharing is the page url as default. If you want to provide custom link to be shared for an image, you can set the link inside the image options in the gallery. Just click on any image to bring the image options.
Mediagram Gallery provides you with two options to display your images in different layouts - 1. Grid 2. Masonry
The Grid layout will display the images in row format. This is best for images with the equal width and height.
The Masonry layout displays the images stacked on each other according to their height and width. This is best if you have images with variable width and height.
You can display images in 4 different columns - 1, 2, 3, and 4. You can set the number of columns for each gallery and present the different layouts for different galleries.
The gallery columns will auto adjust the images according to their width as well. If you have an image in landscape mode and that fits in two columns, the Mediagram Gallery will display the image in two columns and adjust the other image that fits after that.
This is where you control the space between the gallery images or the columns. The space is being added as padding between the images and you can set different padding for different galleries across your website to product unique and different galleries.
The reactions are the best part of the Mediagram Gallery. This option allows you to choose which reactions you want to use for your gallery. Depend on the type of the gallery images, you can choose different reactions. Like, if you're displaying gallery of your wedding photos, you can choose the reactions as - Like, Love and Wow :)
